Notes · BHL supporting Ukraine looks more like sabotage than solidarity
2 months ago

While the Ukrainians are undeniably and rightly winning the communication war, France gives the impression of playing against them by giving voice to Bernard Henri-Levy, its national "philosopher", the most discredited of the profession, who does never fails to take advantage of any war to pose in front of the media.

As a recidivist liar and an intellectual impostor he can be against war one day and belligerent the next, close friend of the powerful and of great fortunes, himself a rich heir and multi-owner, and above all an unconditional defender of NATO. Values of humanity and freedoms are in his mouth so insincere that offering this hard-working character to the cause of Ukraine looks more like sabotage than solidarity.

Behind him, presidential candidates largely lost in the polls and the representation of a so-called anti-racist association which bases its very existence on the recovery and diversion of struggles in which it was never invited.
It is hard to imagine a worse approach to solidarity with Ukraine, as it is to be expected that this kind of support will have the effect of feeding the narrative in which Putin has made his path, that of a decadent West whose displayed values are just posturing.
All this will quickly make everyone forget that Ukrainians have the right to choose independently what they want for themselves, whether it is an application for membership of the EU or NATO - whatever one thinks of one or the other, and that the aggression they suffer cannot be excused.
